Our commitment

Outpost is meant to be usable by everyone who is invited to one. We build the service toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, and we treat a barrier that keeps someone from taking part as a defect.

Where we stand

We have not yet completed an independent audit of the service against that standard, and we do not claim that it conforms. What we can say is how it is built: every screen is composed from one shared set of interface components, designed with keyboard operation and colour contrast in mind, so an improvement to a component reaches every screen that uses it. We will update this page when an audit has been completed and say what it found.

Reporting a barrier

If something about Outpost is hard or impossible for you to use, whether booking a seat, checking in at your Outpost, playing the conversation game, or anything else, email hello@outpost.rsvp with “Accessibility” in the subject line. Tell us what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and the device, browser and any assistive technology you were using.

We will acknowledge your report within five business days. A barrier that stops someone booking or checking in is fixed on the same footing as any other defect, and while it is open we will work with you on another way to complete what you were doing. Every report is recorded and tracked until it is resolved.
