Had no idea there were any AUP people that we could connect with here in Denver.”

The problem

Most of AUP’s donor prospects live in the US, but outside its main cities they are hard to reach, and a small team can’t fly out for a handful of alumni.

What they did

AUP wanted to unlock a way to reach alumni in cities it had never served. It picked a date its alumni already care about, Bastille Day, and offered it to Denver and Miami. The Houston table did not fill and alumni were notified.

What happened

Every respondent said it built stronger connections to the AUP community, and every Miami respondent wants to come back within three months. AUP will launch this in their other US markets come spring.

What's next

The remaining tables are saved for Founding Week in March.
